If you’re anything like me you’re insane you have an entire Amazon Wish List just for pretty books. When I get bored I peruse the latest large hardcover picture book offerings and fill my imaginary cart with things I have no space for. Weird? Maybe. Useful? Definitely. Because hardcover books are lovely gifts and, whenever I have an occasion requiring a lovely gift, I just go to the list, pick the perfect book for the recipient of said gift, and Amazon Prime the crap out of it.
Perfect example of how useful my Pretty Book Wish List is: It’s 5 days before Mother’s Day and you don’t have a gift yet. Hey, that woman gave birth to you. And it probably sucked. So buy her a present.
If I want these then your mom would probably want them, too.
Decorate: 1,000 Design Ideas for Every Room in Your Home - $22.54
The Flower Recipe Book - $15.99
The Brown Betty Cookbook - $16.66
Masterclass: Arnold Newman - $40.39
The New York Times 36 Hours: 150 Weekends in the USA & Canada - $25.20
The Cheesemonger’s Kitchen: Celebrating Cheese in 75 Recipes - $23.33
Domestic Art: Curated Interiors - $58.50
This couldn’t possibly be any easier for you. Don’t be a jerk. Buy your mom a pretty book.
Excellent choices! I would love any of them. I’ll just get the kids to look at this post!
I hope they picked out a wonderful book for you!
They didn’t, but it was still fabulous! I’ll just have to buy them myself. I’m good with it!
Lovely choices. I know which one I would want. Now how to tell the kids!
I hope you got exactly what you wanted! :D
I love the Flower Recipe book. I considered getting it for my mom, but then I DIYed a gift for her instead. Perhaps for Christmas.
Oh, a DIY gift is the most thoughtful of gifts! I’m certain she loved it!
I love hardcover books too! I also just got “Decorate” from the library to test it out before purchasing and I love it!
