Hi Kerra, I just read your article in the Mpls Star Tribune. The featured apartment design is Fabulous, love the colors. Congrats to you on this great blog. I will definitely keep checking back for ideas. Thanks
I notice that you make quite a few purchases at overstock.com. Wondering on what the quality is like ? I am looking to buy a bed and a chaise lounge from there but the reviews on the site imply the beds are flimsy…..so thought I would ask you what you think of the quality of the pieces you have purchased so far from overstock…
Great question! Since Overstock carries products from lots and lots of different companies, the quality varies widely. I would trust the reviews to give you an idea of the quality. The products I have purchased have all been great, but I try to only purchase products with lots of positive reviews. If the reviews for your bed and chaise aren’t glowing, I would steer clear!
I saw the article about you in the January 2016 issue of Better Homes and Gardens. Can you tell me the manufacturer of your dining table with the gold base and glass top? It is just what I need for my NYC studio apartment. Thank you.
Hi Katherine! I wish I could help but the base is vintage (sourced from eBay) and I had the glass top custom made online in the size I wanted. I love vintage shopping in NYC (Brooklyn Flea is my jam) so I bet you can find a great base too :)
Hi Kerra. What a great blog! I adore the quilt/bedspread on page 25 in the January issue of Better Homes and Gardens and am wondering if you would be willing to share the source? Or is it a one of a kind item? So pretty….
Thank you so much! That is a vintage suzani from Uzbekistan, and a rare color (pink). eBay is the best source for embroidered suzani tapestries, so definitely check there! I got lucky and found mine locally, on Craigslist :)
Thank you, Kristen! The gray color is “Nimbus” by Benjamin Moore, and the wood detailing is “Simply White” by Benjamin Moore. Both are favorites of mine because they’re so clean and crisp, without undertones of other colors.
I have so many go-to sites for home goodies! It depends on the style I’m looking for, and the budget, but I think wayfair.com and allmodern.com are excellent resources for all budgets and styles.
Just between you and me (and the rest of the interwebs), I’m planning to launch my own online store on aptenvy.com within the next couple of months! So be on the lookout for my hand-selected decor picks very soon ;)

Thanks so much, Anne! That’s awesome!
New to your site! Congrats on your lovely home and creative heart. Please, what is that mint green color’s name?
Thanks so much! That minty fresh color is from my local hardware store, TrueValue, and the color is “Stardust Memories.”

Love your paint color in the living room? Do you mind sharing what it is? Plus your favorite online sites for home decor?
