{Inspiration Friday} Pantone 2014: Radiant Orchid

Oh yesyesyesyesyes, people. It happened. Pantone named their 2014 Color of the Year and it’s EVERYTHING.

(Sidebar: I’m psychic.)

Radiant Orchid is a lovely shade of purpley-pinky-lavendery-sexy that I’m just a little bit obsessed with. In fact, I’m pulling some variation of this shade into 4 different client projects at this very moment. Lucky them! They’re so 2014!

There are many ways to incorporate this extraordinary color into your decor. The first (and probably best) method is full color immersion.

I DIE.

If you are prone to heart palpitations or like to hide in corners at parties, it may be a bit easier to handle such a magnificent color in smaller doses. You could try just painting the walls and doing the rest of the furniture and accessories in either a neutral or contrasting accent, or go for a purple piece of furniture in a room with neutral walls.

And if the mere mention of color makes you burst into tears, you should probably call me so I can change your mind and hold your hand. The first step to getting help is admitting you have a problem. At least that’s what they tell me in my MHA (Magazine Hoarders Anonymous) therapy group.

I know you need to look at more pretty pictures so check out this extra special Radiant Orchid Pinterest Board I created just for you!

Stay tuned for an UHMAYZING GIVEAWAY next week on the blog! And as always…

Thank you so very much for sharing me with all your friends!

Definitely, my two favorites ambients are the one with the black chair and “washed” wood floors and the one with the golden couch! Gorgeous mix of color/styles…
Thank you for starting this grey Friday with such explosion of color!

Tell me what you think!
