Do you have a staircase in your home? Or, more importantly, does your staircase have room to walk past hanging frames? (This is critical, as I discovered when I tried to take my comforter downstairs.) If so, here are some examples of staircases filled with goodies!
Walls covered in frames don’t have to be on a staircase. I never dreamed I’d even live in a place with a staircase! (Apartment renters generally don’t find themselves with staircases within their homes.) Galleries can exist very happily on a regular wall.
You don’t have to use exclusively framed art or photography in your gallery wall. As you can see, the frames don’t even need to match! You can mix in a few other items to give your gallery a bit of variety.
I know that hanging things on a wall can seem very permanent and, therefore, scary. Maybe some of you renters don’t want to fill a wall with holes because your landlord is a meanie. You can easily put up a picture ledge and lean things against the wall, making a few holes instead of many.
Now go, sweet grasshoppers! Be creative this weekend! But don’t forget to send me your before and after photos.
